I'm off work today and, thankfully, the polar vortex has subsided for the day.

Having said that, I'm still due a visit to the gym this morning for minutes of sweat (no treadmill today) following by a session with the weights, so kicking it all off this morning is this self-titled album by Naxatras.

Who is Naxatras you ask?
Beats the shit outta me, but here I am on a Monday morning checking this shit out at the gym.
GO ME!!
I found this album while looking for other albums to listen to at the gym and, as it turns out, Naxatras is a Prog Rock band from Thessaloniki, Greece who blend a progressive psych/space style with blues and hard rock elements into a warm psychedelia full of fat grooves, dreamy melodies, heavy riffs and trippy guitar solos all with the vintage touch of the 70's.
I fucking approve.

This is the bands debut release from, and it's pretty fucking awesome if you ask me.
In fact, despite it's release date eight years ago, this is already one of the best things I've heard this year (or last year for that matter).
