With "Still You Move," Vancouver-based project Sirenglas constructs a grim, hypnotic corridor directly through the subconscious mind. Helmed by Alfred Hermida, the single channels the mechanical heft of Belgian EBM and subterranean dark techno into something sharp and commanding. It grabs you by the spine before you realize you’ve even stepped onto the floor.

The architecture is built on a relentless, low-frequency arpeggio a thrumming sequence that locks your muscles into place and refuses to negotiate. Echoing percussive strikes hit like factory iron, while icy synth stabs slice across intimate female vocals. There are no expansive melodies to rescue the listener; everything is strictly calibrated momentum, evoking the urgent haze of a cyberpunk basement at three in the morning.
Sirenglas Surrenders to the Pulse on "Still You Move"
What fascinates here is the study of conditioned obedience. Hermida zeroes in on that uncanny tipping point where manipulation becomes so internalized that obeying an outside rhythm begins to feel like personal instinct. Your limbs react without hesitation, disguising reflex as choice.
If the pulse commands your body before your mind can deliberate, where does control truly belong?
