Young, exceptional female sitarist bringing traditional Indian music to life
Amisha is a young, exciting and unique sitar talent, bringing the rich sounds of Indian music to live events with style and individuality.
Rooted in Indian musical traditions, her performances create an elegant atmosphere, making her an excellent choice for weddings, private celebrations, cultural events, receptions and special occasions.
With her fresh approach, exceptional musicianship and very reasonable rates, she offers a distinctive and memorable musical experience for any occasion.
A graduate of the London College of Music, where she studied Music Performance and Music Management (BMus Hons), Amisha has performed with the BBC Concert Orchestra at prestigious venues including the Royal Festival Hall. Her performance in Raga Mela – The Spirit of India Blended with the West was broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
She has also performed with the Grand Union Youth Orchestra at venues including the Hackney Empire, Rich Mix and Wilton’s Music Hall, and her music has featured on BBC Asian Network and BBC Radio London.
Alongside live performance, Amisha composes original sitar music and explores its use in theatre and film. Her combination of established credentials, youthful energy and distinctive artistry makes her a wonderful choice for anyone looking to add something special, authentic and truly unique to their occasion.
