K-Syran is back with "One Eye On The Road," her newest team-up with Grammy-nominated Swedish producer StoneBridge. The pair first joined forces back in 2018, and the Norwegian artist says their bond comes from natural chemistry and a shared Scandinavian connection that makes their creative process feel effortless.

Known for catchy melodies and a genuine love of self-expression through every creative outlet she can find, K-Syran brings a bold, adventurous energy to this new track. The song was inspired by her love of freedom and her habit of always keeping a suitcase packed for the next adventure, capturing her desire to live life without limits or labels.

In an engaging interview with Mister Styx of Music Arena GH, K-Syran talks about what sparked "One Eye On The Road," her spontaneous approach to songwriting, and some of the unexpected moments she's experienced while recording. She also shares what it's like working from her home studio, how she balances her music career with motherhood, and details on her upcoming performance in Geneva alongside Ukrainian pop stars and children with disabilities.

With music driving so many of her passions, K-Syran shows just how she keeps finding joy, freedom, and purpose through her art.

“One Eye On The Road” is your latest collaboration with the Grammy-nominated producer StoneBridge. What makes your creative connection work so well after first working together in 2018?
Probably the Scandinavian brotherhood/sisterhood . I belive in chemistry, with some it just clicks, I can’t explain it, it just works.

You and StoneBridge come from Norway and Sweden respectively. Do you think that Scandinavian connection plays a role in the energy and sound you create together?
For sure! As a Norwegian I was brought up with Pippi Long-stocking and all the Swedish fairytales, Emil etc. We are brother & sister.

The song has been described as the kind of track that listeners fall in love with immediately and keep singing all day. What do you think gives “One Eye On The Road” that memorable quality?

I’ve been told I’m good at writing hooky melodies. I personally believe one can raise awareness through pop/dance songs. It reaches a huge range of people.

You have said that sometimes a song is simply “meant to be.” Did “One Eye On The Road” feel that way from the beginning, or did the song reveal itself during the creative process?
For sure it was meant to be! StoneBridge sent me the instrumental and the melody & lyrics just came. It felt easy and meant to be.

Your songwriting process often involves spontaneous improvisation, with melodies and lyrics coming naturally to you. How did that process shape this particular song?
I feel I’ve answered that question.

You describe having “singing angels” by your side when you create. What does that phrase mean to you, and how does it influence the way you approach songwriting?
I have experienced other voices coming in while recording and improvising a song. Once it also happened in a live concert with my favourite track SKIN. The audience got freaked out so I had to sing unplugged for the rest of the performance.

“One Eye On The Road” reflects your adventurous personality and your habit of always having a packed suitcase ready for the next journey. What does adventure mean to you at this stage of your life and career?
Freedom. I can’t feel tied down or to be put into a box. I need to feel free as a bird.I believe all artists does.

The song was recorded remotely across different countries. How has technology changed the way you collaborate with other artists and producers?
Since Covid I’ve recorded in my own home studio. Missing my trips to The Metropolis Studios .But it has been great now working on my next album. All the musicians are in Nashville so of course easier to send them my vocals and they can play, and record it there, and then send me their recordings.

You have built a career across music, acting, production, writing and directing while also being a mother of four. How do these different parts of your life influence your creativity?
As an artist it’s crucial to express yourself. I believe in finding outlet where my passion takes me. Being a mother of course is my biggest pride, also to have managed to keep the family together. We are a strong union of six and we support each other.

You have an upcoming performance in Geneva alongside Ukrainian pop stars and children with disabilities, using music to raise awareness. How important is it for you to use your platform for causes that matter to you, and what are you looking forward to most about the event?
I can’t wait to have the children performing along side with me on one of my fun dance tracks DIZZY. If one can help to make a difference through something on loves doing I believe one is a very lucky person.
