Talia Accordion Player

Talia is an accomplished accordionist and performer who has been captivating audiences since she was seven. Her musical journey began by singing with her father, who played a Northern Portugal folk instrument, concertina.

She has since achieved many accomplishments, including performances on BBC Television and on stage with The Royal Shakespeare Company in a production of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. At seventeen, she also performed live on The National Lottery TV Programme.

In addition to her early television and stage work, Talia has an impressive list of live performance credits:

  • Appeared at the Royal Academy of Arts alongside Jamie Cullum.
  • Performed at various UK festivals, including Glastonbury.
  • Shared the stage with Charles Castronovo from The Royal Opera House.
  • Starred in two productions at The Kings Head Theatre in London (Quasimodo and Die Fledermaus).

Talia has also enjoyed performing at various art galleries:

  • Rebecca Hossack's Gallery in London.
  • Sharon Yamamoto's Gallery in Holland Park.
  • For Sara Twomey, who worked for Damien Hirst.

With over a million views on YouTube and international performances in eleven cities, Talia has a strong musical presence. She has supported Gary Kemp from Spandau Ballet and collaborated with Randolph Matthews at London's renowned Ronnie Scott's Bar. Her repertoire is a multi-genre blend, featuring songs in English with Portuguese and Spanish elements, and she tailors her performance for both intimate settings and large venues.

True to her roots, Talia has appeared at community festivals in Grantham and Somerset. She was interviewed by the Portuguese radio station, Radio Barca 99.6 FM. and also performed at a special event at Chancellors Hall, University of London, representing the culture of Portugal, Cape Verde, and Brazil.
