Back and bigger than ever, we can't wait to play our part in hosting the third edition of East London Block Party this Saturday, 26th July. Newly expanded to add a fourth venue, the festival follows up its first two sold out years with an incredible lineup split across Old Blue Last, Colours, Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes and Strongroom – all of which are handily located within a max. 7-minute walk of each other.
Among the headliners, we can't wait to see Y bring their explosive set of jazz-punk sleaze to Colours. Tough Cookie, one of the major breakout artists of the year, headline our own stage at Old Blue Last, while Speedy Wunderground's Joyeria takes over the basement at Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes. This Is The Deep complete the quartet, offering a chance to catch their immersive, transcendent set at the intimate Strongroom.
Velvetine at East London Block Party 2024 by Tiago da Ponte Alves
We've got so many live favourites on the bill, from the infectious one-woman alt-disco party of Vanity Fairy to the genuinely jaw-dropping operatic hyperpop of Ash Kenazi. Stoke's Christian Music bring their cultish brand of acerbic noise rock to Old Blue alongside exciting dreampop newcomers cruush, while Strongroom plays host to the singular Enjoyable Listens, a sleazy rock 'n' roll pairing of Jeanie and the Whiteboys and Frank Lloyd Wleft, as well as Goldheart, the new project formed out of the ashes of Fake Turins. It's no secret that we love Blood Wizard, who joins Y at Colours, while the indie psych perfection of Fez has become a more recent favourite of ours. We're also looking forward to bringing it all back to Old Blue Last at the end of the night where Dream Wife will be taking charge of the dancefloor.
Set times will be out on our socials tomorrow so keep an eye out for those. Until then, you can grab your ticket here before the last ones sell out: https://link.dice.fm/rd474e3b2a52?dice_id=rd474e3b2a52
