Philadelphia Folk Fest Announces More Performers Including John Moreland, Alison Brown, John McCutcheon

Following the first wave of performer announcements, the Philadelphia Folk Festival adds the next group of artists who will appear at the Old Pool Farm in Upper Salford Township for its 62nd event from August 15-17, 2025. The festival also features a special Thursday Night Concert Just for Campers on August 14. 

With a lineup that pays homage to the tradition's rich heritage while embracing new and diverse talent, attendees can expect a weekend filled with stellar performances and cherished memories for all. This year's line-up features internationally touring and Philadelphia-based artists. Newly announced performers include: Alison Brown, John McCutcheon, John Moreland, Robin & Linda Williams, Tim O'Brien with Jan Fabricius, Ben de la Cour, Goldpine, The Kennedys, Reggie Harris, and Sam Robbins.
 
These artists join American Patchwork Quartet, The April Fools: David Buskin, Robin Batteau, Christine Lavin, John Forster, and Carla Ulbrich, David Jacobs-Strain and Bob Beach, John Gorka, Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley, Solas, SONiA disappear fear, Vanessa Collier, Brittany Ann Tranbaugh, Cloudbelly, Elijah Wald, Jesse Terry, John Flynn, Kuf Knotz & Christine Elise, Larry Ahearn, Lili Anel, and Max Davey. More performers will continue to be announced leading up to the festival in August.

The Philadelphia Folksong Society and Rising Sun Presents are hosting a preview of the 62nd Philadelphia Folk Festival on August 1 with an evening at Bryn Mawr Twilight ConcertSeries featuring performances from Larry Ahearn, Lili Añel, Cloudbelly, and Max Davey. The event will offer a sneak peek at these four performers who are scheduled to play at this year's festival. Tickets are free with RSVP.

The Philadelphia Folk Festival is presented by the Philadelphia Folksong Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the past, promoting the present, and securing the future of folk music and related forms of expression through education, presentation, and participation.

The Philadelphia Folk Festival fosters music discovery in a safe and family-friendly setting with camping, food trucks, crafts, and a variety of activities for all ages. Educational workshops and Dulcimer Grove (specifically designed for the youngest attendees of the festival) will offer enrichment and more enjoyment of the weekend.
