The Rotterdam festival announces latest batch of names ahead of this October's 2025 edition.

Left of the Dial is Rotterdam's city festival with a burgeoning cult reputation and a consistent knack for picking out some of the best live alternative acts of the moment, often before anyone else has given them a shot on the festival scene. The festival has just announced the latest batch of artists for this year's edition, which runs from 23rd to 25th October across a range of venues in Rottterdam. Already announced are some of our favourite acts of the minute in Modern Woman, Roscoe Roscoe, Brown Horse, Hank and DEADLETTER's Zac Lawrence. Additionally, they have a clutch of our recent live highlights, including the effervescent Y, Great Escape highlights like the newly revamped Silver Gore and the punk minimalists Search Results, plus October and the Eyes, RIP Magic and Star City.

Last week the festival added a fresh set of artists also appearing this October. The lineup is never simply a predictable rearrangement of the familiar pool of the year's festival circuit artists, testament to the organisers' passionate involvement in simply booking their favourite new artists with the one rule that each plays the festival only once. Of the latest added to the lineup, we are particularly excited to see Zach Thompson, whose songwriting talent alone can make for a truly jaw-dropping live show. We're also keen to catch London-via-Wales four-piece MORN, who are fresh off releasing their debut single 'Modern Man' through Speedy Wunderground last month. While the festival is best known for combining an on-the-pulse mix of artists from across Europe, the latest bill also features a handful of artists sourced from across the Atlantic, including LA dream rock experimentalists Mamalarky, anarchic Canadian DIY punks PISS and, at a calmer end of the spectrum, fellow Canadians cistern, who emit an inner calm among the angularity of the post-punk elements they work with. We're also excited to see Pebbledash on the bill, their post-rock 'n' roll sound an intoxicating fusion on the live stage.

We have still been promised even more from this year's lineup, but we are already so excited by this year's list at Left of the Dial. For latest updates, full lineup and ticket information, you can head over to: https://leftofthedial.nl
