Tsiang Card
Chinese Indie Rock Band
Formerly known as Wolf's Nest, the indie rock band Tsiang Card formed in 2017. They explored the metal genre from the beginning, then tried to add some traditional Chinese instruments to pop rock.
Their music is full of irony and cynicism, but not drunk and not happy, extend a space over between anxiety and fleeting joy, summarising the past in a muddled and thoughtful way, and looking forward to a new era for new individuals. It's a "Shadow Salute" that explores China in a time of fragmented local culture, and it also belongs to China and the world in a time of broken relationships and death by entertainment.
More About the Band
Fei started out as a guitarist in the band Wolf's Nest, but when the members discovered her amazing skills on traditional Chinese instruments, they began to explore the combination of the traditional Chinese plucked instruments and rock!
They make use of the pipa's special timbre to give rock music a special expression, combined with the Chinese context through special arrangements instead of the guitar or keyboard of traditional rock bands.
They utilise a variety of creative methods to enhance the immersion and artistry of the scene, creating impactful soundscapes and visuals. They successfully presented and released their music on multiple platforms, receiving wide acclaim
