We're just a month away from packing our bags and setting up camp down in Brighton for a few days. The Great Escape kicks off on 14th May, oriented around bringing together some of the most exciting breaking artists across genres for a packed weekend of music. The 450+ band lineup is nearing completion, with 175 artists newly added to crowd out that clashfinder spreadsheet.
Brighton-via-Toronto punk electronica trio CLT DRP are a constant live favourite and are an essential watch for the uninitiated. Grungey indie songwriter Girlpuppy is over from Atlanta, while Hard of Hearing favourites Maruja, Skydaddy and Mandrake Handshake are among those travelling slightly less distance to join the bill. We are also excited to see RIP Magic, Y, Velvetine, Kuntessa and Sulk on the list, as well as returners Picture Parlour.
As festival season creaks into gear, we are looking forward to giving it a proper kick start in Brighton next month, and have some exciting news about our own part of the festival that we'll be sharing in due course.
For now, full lineup info and tickets are available at: https://greatescapefestival.com/
