We are rapidly approaching the return of The Great Escape, the UK music fan's go-to for catching the best bands on the cusp of a big break. Taking place in Brighton, a busy network of shows are held over four days across as many venues, bars, cafés and other spots as could possibly host a gig, this year's festival running from 14th to 17th of May. From the get-go, the 2025 lineup has been shaping up to live up to the festival's esteemed reputation, with early announcements naming Luvcat, TTSSFU, Lynks, Hachiku, Laundromat Chicks and Silver Gore among many more likely highlights.

Now just two months aways, the festival has announced over 100 new names joining the bill. Of these, favourites of ours include the unique and ingenious Maria Uzor, Canada's dazzling Debby Friday and Mercury winners English Teacher. We are also hoping to catch Miso Extra again, as well as exciting Irish duo Search Results, whose new single 'Wrinkle' captivated us last week.

The festival have also just confirmed their lineup for The Late Escape, a series of official after hours sets from acts they deem "the best emerging electronic and club talent" for fans looking to keep the party going well into the night. Patterns' immersive downstairs space plays host to these events along with The Arch, and this year Badger, IRAH and SWIM are among the artists setting the late-night tone until 4am on the Friday and Saturday.
