Stephan recently became the first student in the school's histo…  | By ahilt21 on March 3, 2025 | Stephan Gomez, completed his BA in Music Studies in 2023 and has been pursuing his Masters of Music in Conducting at the Baylor School of Music where he studies with Miguel Harth-Bedoya. Stephan recently became the first student in the school's history to conduct their opera, Hänsel und Gretel (in German) with full cast and children's chorus.
Other successes include performing a multimedia production of Stravinsky's L'Histoire du Soldat with the Baylor School of Music faculty, conducting student a chamber orchestra in a lecture recital about Haydn's D Major Cello Concerto,
conducting the world premiere of the film score "Pups of Liberty" by Steve Morrell, and conducting Mahler Symphony No. 1 with the Baylor Orchestra. Currently he is conducting the Baylor Orchestra in Strauss' Death and Transfiguration.
