Along with Father John Misty, Sharon Von Etten and a host of other favourites, the initial lineup drop already makes this one of the festival's best years to date.

A perennial favourite in our festival calendar, End of the Road returns to Dorset's idyllic Larmar Tree Gardens this year from 28th to 31st August. Already from the initial 2025 lineup drop, we can already see that they are on course for a standard-setting year at the festival. The initial list is packed with a mix of stellar headliners, a clutch of must-see new acts, and some living (and still relevant!) indie heritage.
The headline slots that will dictate the weekend go to the blissed-out electronica of Caribou, Father John Misty, who presents his sprawling new album 'Mahashmashana', Sharon von Etten launching her transformation with new group The Attachment Theory and Self Esteem to bring her brand of euphoric but relatable pop to the Woods Stage. Alongside these, the ever-dynamic Mount Kimbie are set to build on last year's brilliantly shoegazey reinvention, Geordie Greep brings his brilliant solo project to the stage after producing one of the most exciting and unpredictable albums of last year, and Moonchild Sanelly will be leading the party by example (anyone who was at her Green Man set last year will attest to this!).

4AD royalty Throwing Muses remain an essential watch, continuously evolving as a band and as urgent as ever. They are an encouragingly imaginative choice as far as older acts on the bill go. We're also excited to see John Maus back in the UK, while Tropical Fuck Storm (who mutated out of Aussie rock legends The Drones) never fail to produce blistering, full-force live sets. Add performers ranging from Joy Orbison to Lisa O'Neill and you've already got an amazing weekend of music. We can't wait to see who gets added to the bill further down the line.
Music aside, End of the Road is one of Britain's best festivals, its relatively intimate capacity and magical woodland setting providing the perfect space for late summer revelry. From the all-night games area to the roving film production troupe to popup art shows and one-off film screenings, there is so much to this festival that makes it a joyous and immersive experience. Anchored by what is already a brilliant lineup, it is shaping up to be quite a year for End of the Road.
