'What Have You Done' is the stunning debut single from Hastings duo Korda Korder. Off the back of a limited release on Soundcloud, they have caught the ears of some impressive fans, including John Kennedy and Steve Lamacq. Tuning in to the song, which is now available across all platforms, one can immediately hear why.

Heavily processed vocals carve out a beguilingly simple melody over restrained strums of electric guitar and a swaying synth line. This haunting musical quality anchors the naïve melancholy of the lyrics, "What have you done, taking on my heart?" The atmosphere feels somewhere between Alvvays and vintage Joe Meek and lands in similar territory to Manchester newcomers TTSSFU. The fuzziness of the production creates an added sense of emotional alienation, gradually taking over towards the song's climax. It creates this sense of slow emotional suffocation, echoed by the somewhat Ophelian artwork. We are excited to hear what is next from Korda Korder and are hoping to catch their London debut at the Waiting Room at the end of this month (25th November).
