The presentation covered repertoire awareness, community engagement and the shared vision of piano and organ students in the UNO Keyboard Area in presenting music with shared topics each semester. Since Spring of 2018, Keyboard Area students have taken part in the Keyboard Area Project Recital initiative. Themes and topics of the recitals are selected by students. This project allows for area-wide discussion about important matters regarding keyboard repertoire and help broaden the students' understanding and knowledge of music written for piano, organ, and harpsichord. The topic for Fall 2024 is Living Composers. This semester's concert will be performed this coming Monday, October 28th at 7:30pm and will feature students of Dr. Taylor, Dr. Marie Rubis Bauer, and Prof. Mark Kurtz. Dr. Taylor will give a pre-concert talk about the Project Recitals at 6:30pm in Strauss Room 106. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
