Adele Dazeem have just released their fourth single 'Daim' and have once again hit the mark. Like a friend who always shows up bearing libations, the London-based shoegaze trio have a knack for coming through and supplying the musical goods. Recorded with regular collaborator Rory Atwell – whose credits include Palma Violets, TRAAMS, Childhood – 'Daim' comes via London indie label Dilettante Records.
Dipped in a heavy dose of shoegaze and dusted with a thick layer of expressive lyrics from lead singer and guitarist Charlie Hearl, 'Daim' explores the idea of fixation upon nostalgia, grappling with the inevitable passing of time. Initially discarded before being revisited and reworked, it makes for a stirring track further describes the dark and the gloomy atmosphere that is fast becoming the group's signature.
Having formed in 2020 during lockdown, the band honed their sound in remote studios across Western Scotland and Snowdonia before releasing their first single during 2023. Now onto their fourth release of the last ten months, the ensemble are scheduled to play their biggest headline show to date at New River Studios to celebrate this latest cut.
