The School of Music utilizes state-of-the-art technology in the music technology studios and the keyboard lab. The keyboard curriculum focuses on diverse music and styles using practical applications for all levels and skill sets. Our faculty are experienced professionals passionate about teaching and working throughout the community in their areas of expertise. Exploring various styles and skills on the keyboard and sharing in student's excitement and joy is a testament to the power of music! The Summer Keyboard Institute, which was a week long, hosted UNO students and non-UNO students at the Strauss Performing Arts Center on the campus of the University of Nebraska at Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska on Monday, June 24, 2024. The Summer Keyboard Institute aimed to explore keyboard skills focusing on gospel music, jazz, contemporary music. and music technology for all ages and levels. We welcome anyone of all ages and backgrounds interested in learning more about playing keyboards or furthering skills and interest in all areas of music. We look forward to continuing our Summer Keyboard Institute next Summer!
