Bored at My Grandma's House continues to captivate with her latest single, 'Inhibitions,' following the success of the acclaimed debut EP, 'Sometimes I Forget You're Human Too.' Amber Strawbridge, the creative force behind the Leeds-based project, showcases her talent for crafting cathartic and delightfully melodic tunes that defy any notions of boredom.
The debut EP is filled with cavernous reverb and soft, sweet, cutting lyricism. A bedroom dream pop monolith that deftly makes mountains out of the four walls of a bedroom. Tracks such as 'Showers' and 'Skin' glide through misty chambers of angst and longing. A new project brewing is an exciting fresh addition to this silky discography.

The lo-fi charm, proves to be anything but dull, infusing the new track with a grunge-pop appeal. The song, mostly written and recorded at home, gains its finishing touches under the guidance of Alex Greaves at The Nave, resulting in a compelling and haunting track.
'Inhibitions' delves into the realm of classic indie pop, shoegaze, and lo-fi dream pop, providing a sonic backdrop for the frustrations of introspection. Amber Strawbridge voices the universal struggle of over-thinkers, exploring anxiety and its hindrance of inhibitions on day-to-day life and personal aspirations. In close examination of isolation and self-doubt, she sings, "I've recently felt trapped, confused to who I am, stopping me from achieving and believing." Even more desolate is the consideration, "I don't know, are you sinking or swimming ? I think therefore I am but i can't even think, therefore do I even exist ?" The track serves as a poignant reflection on a time when authenticity felt compromised and inhibitions seemed beyond control.

Amber's journey from recording on her phone in a Cumbrian bedroom to collaborating with industry professionals showcases the evolution of her self-taught production and recording skills. 'Inhibitions' stands as a testament to Bored at My Grandma's House's ability to deliver introspective and authentic music that resonates with listeners on a profound level.
