Kelly and I were lucky enough to spend our 8th anniversary together this past Wednesday by seeing Whitehorse play at The Sanctuary up the road so, of course, we have new albums to listen to by the band, beginning with this Modern Love album.
Needless to say, we love watching bands here in the front row and, thankfully, Canadiana darlings Whitehorse did not disappoint (again).
The duo's 2021 COVID-19 album is their blueprint for love in a digital age. Complete with an intuitive UX creating a fully immersive experience of interpersonal harmonics in ultra rich waveshape sonics that you can now listen to on baby pink & black heavy-splatter vinyl.
And we are!
The album was captured at Taurus Recordings in Toronto, with the pair roping in extra help via Thom D'Arcy (string arrangements), Fred Eltringham (drums), Gus Van Go (bass on Promises), Robin Hatch (wurlitzer, mellotron) and Drew Jurecka (string performances).
