Their first official recording is suitably wild, capturing the spirit of their live shows.

Polyscraps, the Haringey six-piece, have at last released a recording of their electric live sound into the online space. 'God Said' is a raucous and bombastic showing of big things to come, with rumours floating around of a debut EP to come this summer. I had the pleasure of seeing this group at the Fracas IV alongside the equally incredible Human Resources and JC Palmer on the 11th of May at The Social in Soho, where they absolutely blew me away. Polyscraps' sound and aura embody strength and exuberance, sonically resembling a creature with multiple limbs. They emanate power and invite the most energetic of dances. The set was marked with off-kilter riffs, angular alternating trombone and trumpet, and inventive use of a KAOSS pad to bring in tunes as jolty as they are catchy.

'God Said' opens with some obtuse twangs before bouncing into the ensemble and jamming away together. The horns bubble through the mix as it pops and fizzles upwards and A. L. Noonan's distinctive voice barks through the arrangements. It is an overwhelming display of energetic and sharp movements,  a truly unstoppable and powerful introduction.

Recorded in a Goldsmiths studio with contributions from audio engineers Alexander Sokolow and Dougal James, the track is tight and cohesive yet still dripping with fun. An accompanying video produced by Rachel Fonseca Burtt, who also plays the trombone for the group, exhibits their wider talents and underscores the DIY creativity of the project. If you needed convincing, 'God Said' is proof the group have bags to offer in lovingly sweat-filled venues.
