It's another "up early and out the door before 5:45am" kinda day so I can throw around the heavy iron (what I was originally planning yesterday) for a bit before work.
Keeping me entertained thusly is this Connected album by the Stereo MC's.

Here's a blast from my past!
(Well, at least from 1992 anyway.)
The Stereo MC's' American breakthrough is an energetic, club-oriented collection of colourful, funky dance tracks -- the raps almost seem like an afterthought, yet that doesn't distract from the sheer pleasure of their sound.
If ever there was a "fun" album -- this was it.

This was all the rage at university on the dance floor at Phil's Grandson's Place and, ya know what ... it wasn't a terribly bad listen today. I didn't boogie down at the gym so much, but I'm not gonna lie: there was a small bounce in my step.
On another positive note, I was at the gym earlier than usual this morning and, alas, had myself what I feel constitutes as my first serious session with the weights.
Fingers crossed then that this healthy habit actually sticks.
