Today, the inaugural edition of Otherlands Music & Arts Festival came to a close as Bicep brought their acclaimed live show to the Frissonia main stage. The idyllic grounds of Scone Palace in Perth were lit up as the Irish dance duo headlined with a goosebump-inducing performance. The festival, which boasts one of the UK calendar's most diverse and genre-spanning line-ups, also saw some unforgettable sets from Maverick Sabre, Biig Piig and Kojaque, as well as the internationally revered DJ and producer Honey Dijon who closed out the Sub Club-hosted Portal stage with an incendiary set.
Otherlands Festival is committed to showcasing the best in emerging new talent and, across the three day weekend, the Sonare stage has hosted a huge roster of the the most exciting rising acts from Scotland and beyond. Glasgow's Medicine Cabinet closed the stage today which was hosted by legendary Edinburgh venue Sneaky Pete's while, over in the Fool's Utopia, fans were treated sets from Scots DJs Liam Doc, t e s t p r e s s, Hayley Zalassi and more.
During the day Edinburgh Fringe favourites Abandoman and Amy Webber were among the Pavilion Stage's comedy line-up. The sold-out series of Yoga workshops continued, as well as DJ workshops with Birmingham-based collective Selextorhood. Sub Club director Mike Grieve also joined a bespoke panel for a special industry talk on The Feeling of Sound.
Tom Ketley, founder of Otherlands Music & Arts Festival, said: "The debut edition of Otherlands Music & Arts Festival has surpassed all our expectations. We want to thank everyone involved for making our first year so memorable, we can't wait to bring it back to you again next year."
