Summer is in full swing! Full of beaches and humidity, July is just a hot month but with cool music! Here are ten songs that you should be listening to at the end of July. These are songs from different artists around the world from a variety of genres. Listen to the songs and tell me which one is your favorite in the comments!
"I was right in the middle of working on my new album and wound up watching 'Chicago' really late one night," explains Michels. "I had just listened to 'Cell Block Tango' where they sing 'he had it coming'' and it's 4 am when our minds are maybe not in their most rational state and out pops these lyrics. I wrote the song in 10 minutes."
GT_Ofice resides in Manhattan, NY. "Caine" has performed in major NYC, Las Vegas, and Miami nightclubs. A former child actor who fell in love with music and creating beats. Caine enjoys partnering with emerging singers to showcase undiscovered talent to create something beautiful.
"Inspired by my favorite artist Ray Lamontagne, it's a song about the moment I walked out of a broken relationship and the last time we saw each other. " -- Xavier Collins
"This song is about falling out of love with someone and realizing you need to let them go. The relationship was failing and it became so one-sided. It's easy to realize that you no longer have feelings for someone but it's the intrinsic difficulty of hurting them that makes it so hard. You can be in a relationship, feel a shift and know something isn't right anymore but the second you say it out loud it's in the open. You can't take it back. The truth is, the best solution is to rip off the band-aid and move on. That's what I had to do." -- Jenny Kern
David Green's openhearted brand of piano-based electro-pop has earned him a reputation as an exceptionally promising new artist. The Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter has been releasing music since 2018, developing his unique voice and growing as an artist with every new song. Now, with the release of his most compelling content to date planned in 2022 and beyond, David is poised to reach new heights while making a meaningful impact on the modern music world.
Originally to be composed by John Williams (Star Wars, etc.). When Williams had to drop out because of time constraints Frederik Magle was tasked with composing the epic soundtrack for the rollout - see video - of the new Danish F-35 fighters, the single largest investment in Denmark's history (27 billion Kroner). Since then 'Skyward' has become the main Fanfare for the Royal Danish Air Force and is being performed live at almost all major Air force events and ceremonies.
But 'Skyward' has a meaning that stretches far outside of just military music. It is a piece of hope and dreams of new horizons, looking and yearning towards the sky, and though fully acknowledging its origin from an air force/military context, 'Skyward' itself is a fanfare and anthem for peace, not war.
