Connor Mac Labels New Song "Like I Used To Be"
Fast-rising New Zealand artiste, Connor Mac has finally presented his newest single "Like I Used To Be".
The song is a lovely and sad alt-pop ballad propelled by piano chords that mimic the vocal passion throughout.
Connor's lyrics openly acknowledge the flaws and changes that might occur in a long-term relationship, and he makes no excuses for himself, instead of asking that people remember him as he was when they first met.
It is something that practically everyone has experienced and can be related to by individuals of all ages. This is one that you should certainly listen to.
Lyrically, Connor was motivated to compose the song as a reaction to the emotional pressure placed on his own friendships and relationships over the last two years of lockdown.
The song is his third original release, following "Spacemen" and "Hippie," both of which have over 1 million Spotify listens.
Connor Mac is a New Zealand artist that has a distinctly soulful and earthy sound. He grew up in the countryside just outside of Palmerston North, New Zealand, in a musical family, and his origins are in music production and live performance.
