Ro Nova Gets Us Dizzy With New Drop "Cyanide"

From the SW of England, Ro Nova now calls London home and is a bedroom producer and all-around DIY artist.

When it comes to electro-pop, Ro is influenced by artists like Lady Gaga, Charli XCX, Charli XCX, Christine and the Queens, and Grimes. Her approach combines airy vocals with synth-heavy beats to create her own sound.

Using her hands-on approach, she has crafted an 80's-inspired sound with a pop influence from the '00s. With the use of tape players and multi-track recorders, she has always been able to produce her own music.

Using lockdown as an opportunity to get his hands dirty and crank out new stuff, Ro sat down to work.

After Gary Wallis (of Pink Floyd and Mike and the Mechanics) saw her talent, she began working with him on composing projects, and in 2021 she was hired to tour with Tom Jones. Fred Again.. and Kamille, two of the UK's most prolific composers, were among the mentors who chose Ro from hundreds of other up-and-coming producers. (She Is The Music, Universal Music, Promised Land Music).

New electro music from Nova follows the release of her current track 'Silver' on New Year's Eve. To be on the verge of a nervous breakdown is what cyanide is all about. Finding refuge in thrill-seeking is what this is all about.

Tastemakers like Harriet Rose and James Threlfall (BBC) and publications like Hoxton Radio and Visual Atelier 8 have praised Ro's releases. After being recognised as an up-and-coming producer in 2021, she collaborated with prominent British songwriters Fred Again.. and Kamille (She Is The Music, Promised Land Music, Universal Music).

Since then, she's collaborated with artists like Raye and MNEK, and she's slated to go on two European tours with other well-known performers this year.
