Ren Lawton, a multi-instrumentalist, has had a long and varied career in the music industry. When he first started out, he went under the name Conor Owen and supported bands like We Are Scientists and The Subways.

The time Conor spent in a van, travelling, and performing in bars while working on his tour management skills was well worth it. Conor's reinvigorated state of mind made it possible for him to begin composing and eventually perform as Ren Lawton.

Ren Lawton, a multi-instrumentalist who could play anything from guitars and trumpets to harmonicas and pianos, had the potential to fundamentally alter Conor's sound. Bob Dylan and Frank O'Connor, two of the greatest storytellers of all time, encouraged him to produce adult vignettes. It's a compilation of songs that capture the essence of Conor's character, and it's his first album Today Today Tomorrow.

Conor's evocative blend of modern folk has found a broad audience. 'Piece of Your Heart' has been streamed more than 1 million times on Spotify and has been featured on BBC Radio 6's Tom Robinson, BBC Wales, BBC Newcastle, and BBC Bristol. Clash Magazine, Folk Radio, Thank Folk For That, Narc Magazine, Fame Magazine, Contact Music and many more have all given him favourable press coverage.

Thoughts about you. The Coral's "Dreaming of You" and Bob Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues" inspire this rapid and catchy indie/folk/rock tune.
