What is your real name?

My name is Josh Bond

What's your official Stage Name (showbiz name)?

I go under the name JOZUA

What do you do (fashion, music, comedy, artist, dancer, etc.)?

I'm a music producer and DJ from Leicestershire

Follow JOZUA on : Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.

How did you get into what you do (music, modeling, art, dance, etc.?)

I've been around music in one way or another for as long as I remember. Playing instruments or messing around with production software etc. I never thought it's what I would be pursuing as a career though, but here we are, life works in strange ways 🙂

What field or genre are you into and give a brief description of what your career/profession/ field feels like?

I'm mainly a deep house producer, but I love and make all sorts of music, ranging from techno style all the way to orchestral, I just tend not to release that side of my music. Music is an outlet for me, so nothing is off the cards

Who or what inspires you or motivates you? And why?

It's that feeling when someone resonates with your music, it's like no other for me. Knowing that you can create something that touches someone in a really emotional way, or even just something that puts a smile on their face and gets them groovin', it's such a cool feeling!

What was your first project and the people you worked with and which year?

Wow, the first project, that's a trip down memory lane! I can't say that I can actually remember my very first project as a musician, I guess that would technically be some of the old guitar solos I'd write, or maybe some old hip-hop beats I'd publish to Soundcloud under a different name when I was like 14. As far as JOZUA, my first project was Bugatti Ridin'. Although it's not my favourite song I've ever made from a production side, I love it so much! It opened so many doors for me and allowed me to meet some of my best friends in the world through this industry, and for that, I couldn't be more grateful for it.

How many projects do you have so far?

Released tracks, I have 12 so far. But I've got at least a few more signed with a release date ready at the moment, and countless more in the works for this year 🙂

How long have you been doing what you do?

Making or playing music, I've been doing that in one way or another for as long as I can remember. Making this style of deep house though, I'd say that I've been doing it for around 2-3 years now

Have you won any awards or been nominated for an award? Or in short, any achievement? Both in and out of your career path.

I've managed to sign my track "Die For Me" on Sony Music. This is something that blew my mind when the opportunity came, it's every musician's dream to sign on a massive label like that! I've also been awarded track of the week for BBC Leicester Introducing for "Diamond Eyes", which was absolutely crazy too!

What is this new release about?

For me, the magic in music comes from each listener taking something unique away from the track, and projecting their own experiences into the lyrics. The track has a meaning for me, but I would much prefer the listener to listen without me seeding anything for them, that's where the real magic of listening to music is for me, to discover its individual meaning for you for yourself

What can your previous and new audiences anticipate from you in the future?

More, Bigger, Better. This trip is just starting! Deep house is my love of music, so you can be sure there's going to be plenty more of that from me this year, but I've also got a few tracks in the works that I'm looking to release that do stray from this a bit. It's super exciting to take the jump in that direction also!
