India Shan Does Some Very "Straight Talk" On This New Song

North West London-based singer, India Shan has finally presented her newest single tagged "Straight Talk".

Straight Talk is the follow-up to India Shan's Inertia EP and the first of three tracks from her upcoming Distance EP.

On February 20th, a music video will be released, followed by a Hyperpop remix and visual on February 25th, and a Drum n Bass remix by Project One the following week.

On the 17th, there will be a release party at 93 Feet East in Shoreditch. If you are around, you shouldn't miss this.

India, who was born and reared in North West London, was engaged in music from a young age, both at home and at performances.

India attributes her love of the metropolis to The Roundhouse in Chalk Farm, which "quickly" became her favorite spot and inspired her to stay in London.

At a fortuitous meeting during the Amy Winehouse Foundation, India was scouted by Raf Riley, the musical mastermind behind Loup Ent, famed for fostering the finest British talents by breaking the likes of Etta Bond, Ashnikko, and Avelino.

They began writing together as soon as they struck the connection. This would pave the way for the 21-year-musical old's career to take off.

Of her writing style, India says "I like writing really fluidly. Not saying things so directly... I love looking back on lyrics and finding new meanings in them, proper open for interpretation. Words have always meant a lot to me so I guess I'm quite particular in that sense, even if it isn't totally clear on the surface, there's always meaning."
