Sauárkrókur, a town in northern Iceland, is the hometown of 22-year-old Valdis, a singer/songwriter from the area. She was exposed to a wide range of musical styles as a child and has been singing since she can remember.

Pop vocalist VALDIS is known for fusing textured sounds with rhythmic drumming to produce hauntingly beautiful music. After graduating from Copenhagen's Complete Vocal Institute, she competed in and won a few singing contests in her native Iceland.

Having just begun her career as a recording artist in the early months of 2020, Valdis has already had a number of her songs included on official Icelandic radio charts and on official Spotify editorial playlists.
