So I'm going back to the gym today for a little He-man session and a swim afterwards to try and recoup a little of my "manly mojo" now things are beginning to open once again. So today's weights session is fuelled up by this Hardware album by Billy F. Gibbons.

This was something I have saved for a work out prior to the gyms closing once more for Lockdown 2.0 last month, and so it's finally getting listened to today ...

Hardware is the third solo studio album by the ZZ Top American rock legend, released last year in June less than a month prior to passing away the following July
Recorded way out in the California desert in the company of Matt Sorum on drums and Austin Hanks on guitar, with various rattlesnakes and cacti for ambience, Billy's latest album is wall-to-wall rock 'n' roll mojo. While most of the The Big Bad Blues and its 2015 predecessor Perfectamundo were formed of covers, almost all of the Hardware repertoire is comprised of original, rock-oriented material. Eleven of its twelve songs were written by Gibbons, Sorum, Fiorentino and Shlosser. The one exception is Hey Baby, Que Paso first recorded by the Texas Tornadeos for their 1990 album Los Texas Tornados.
