Finn Munn Shares His "The Last Departure EP"

The post-pandemic love album, The Last Departure EP is a post-lockdown love record based on post-breakup agony and isolation in a post-pandemic society.

The EP is a true reflection of his own creative process, from writing and recording through mixing and mastering.

Finn Munn early exposure to classical music at school, as well as learning to play the clarinet at an early age, sparked Finn Munn lifelong passion for music. Growing up in Kent and now residing in West London, music has played a significant part in his life.

Then, a year later, Finn Munn moved to London and began studying at the BIMM Institute, where he wrote his first EP based on his experiences after being released from lockdown.

A fascinating but vast and overwhelming world of culture and activity affected David Bowie's new surroundings in London as well as Isaac Hayes and Leonard Cohen's early work.

While being single may be both exciting and frightening, songs such as "The Last Twelve O'Clock Departure" depict the end of civilization on an inhospitable planet in a symbolic way.

The upbeat song "Bella" reinforces this sense of love's wildness, while also noting the difficulties of acting on such devotion.
