Purrr ft. Grizzy is the forthcoming song by LASSAI, a rising Chicago-born, New York-based Alt-R&B/Pop musician who is now residing in NYC (Luh-Say). It was composed by Lassai and features Queer Chicago Rapper Grizzy on the soundtrack.

Lanre created the track, which was mixed and mastered by Callan2k. Using a Bedroom Pop soundtrack, Purrr pays tribute to felines as well as black transwomen, both of which have been stigmatised in our culture, but who have also been requested, even used, for pleasure and healing, particularly by black transwomen.

Purrr will be released in conjunction with a music video of the same name. Cats and sex workers are both celebrated in this sultry and freeing ballad, which pays tribute to both species that have provided healing and pleasure to the public for generations while yet being deemed forbidden and, to some part, vilified.

Scientists have said in Scientific American that "PURRING: Cats purr in a rhythm and at a frequency that is constant between 25 and 150 Hertz.

According to the findings of several researchers, sound frequencies in this range may strengthen bone density and aid in the promotion of healing. Cat purrs have been associated with enhanced bone and muscle recovery, which may be beneficial to certain people.
