This is Inside the Album, where we dissect and unravel the albums that have come out recently. This time we are going to unravel ENHYPEN's 1st Studio Album, DIMENSION: DILEMMA.

Tamed-Dashed

Tamed-Dashed is a very interesting release for ENHYPEN. By this time, ENHYPEN has established their sound signature and style, which I will call mystic synthpop. Tamed-Dashed is quite confusing, as the actual title does not mean anything besides as a placeholder for the very bizzare storyline BELIFT has created.

Lyrically, it talks about the sun being their guide, questioning themselves if they should be tamed, and me being so confused to this whole lore I cannot continue reading it. However, the bumps ENHYPEN met through the lyrics is not necessarily true for the record. The production is spectacular, it fills the void with an ambient bass guitar line, creating this very moody and almost hazy environoment.

The instrumentation is magical and very melodical. It fuses ethnic Korean instruments with a postmodern direction and an almost upside-down tumble for the whole array of rock instruments. The drums feel heavy and jarring. ENHYPEN certainly has perfected their signature sound.

Upper Side Dreamin'

Upper Side Dreaming is a very fun and distorted experience. It is so misty, heavenly and languid. This experience definitely grows more and more emotional as you listen to this song in the long-run. It gives me an almost happy go lucky lucid dream that went so sad you just cried at the middle of the dream and wake up feeling so messed up.This is one of those memorable experiences I love with music. ENHYPEN gave me this amazing feel and honestly, I really love it.

My favorite part is the bridge at 2:18 which really makes me cry for some reason I cannot comprehend.

Just A Little Bit

Just A Little Bit is ENHYPEN's showcase of vocal excellence, which is impressive if you think about it. This song has little to no vocal tuning, which really surprises me at how untouched this one is compared to previous attempts which has certainly been a failure. Just A Little Bit provides little flourishes here and there, added the vocal harmonics of ENHYPEN. I think this song is really one of their more weaker ones.

Go Big or Go Home

Go Big or Go Home is very middling for me. More than a month after its release, this song feels mediocre EDM for me. It does not bring anything new to the table and the composition feels stuck in the past. I think if this one was released 5 years ago this would literally be a big thing, even for me. But Go Big or Go Home is just very commercial and safe. It is a counterpart to Dynamite.

Blockbuster (Feat. Yeonjun)

Blockbuster instantly saves me from boredom. Blockbuster is packed with rambunctious electric guitars and excellent instrumental arrangement. The added punch of Yeonjun's punk rock vocal is the cherry on top of this utter emo-pink feast. It is ENHYPEN's best attempt at rock and literally one of the biggest collaborations in the 4th generation and of all-time easily. Blockbuster drives all the energy in an uncontrollable pour of lyricism, creativity and performance. It is jam-packed!

Attention, please!

We are not yet done folks. The best rock single of Korea in this year has come out! Attention, please is the king of all heavy rock records with its ravaging, blissful and skyscraper wrecking instrumentation, vocals and guitar riff. I can safely say this song should be the standard of all rock songs in the near future. It is obnoxiously brilliant, unapologetic and devastating. The drums, the guitar and the vocalists. Everything feel right in place for this classic to be born. THIS IS REAL MUSIC!
