On this day in 1997, Brian McKnight released his third studio album, 'Anytime'.

At the time, it was his highest charting album in the US, peaking at #13, and it also became his first album to reach #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and stayed there for three weeks. It has been certified 2x Platinum.

The album spawned four singles; 'You Should Be Mine (Don't Waste Your Time)', 'The Only One For Me', 'Hold Me', and the title track.
