[New post] Laughing the Cynicism of Critics in the Internet

Can I just say how cynical the critic space has been for music in these past few years? We always blame everything on the "obsessive", "obnoxious", "loud", "anarcho-" fandoms in the space if they don't agree with us. I mean I see the thing why they are mad. I see how their egos are starting to break off their own echo chambers and their own pride in doing their "paid" and "healthy" job on the internet.
The thing is, we are actually perpetuating the continuous sexism, racism, and asinine ageism in our format.
I recently saw the huge debacle of Tom Breihan and Joshua Minsoo Kim against the "devil", "satanic", "obscene", "screaming" ARMY. It was just so funny, humiliating, and honestly so alt-rightist. SO CONSERVATIVE. SO BACKWARDS. SO RACIST. Of course, the bigots also have agreed with these sentiments. A professed Democrat that loves Biden so much also fucking loves appropriation, mistreatment, and just racism. Also Black erasure!
Even professing the so-called love for black artists. But then proceeds to irrationally indoctrinate their own followers and shouts in the echo chambers of support.
Joshua and Tom are pretentious. Joshua, as a Korean, is seriously trying to keep that dark, gloomy, and absurd narrative against K-Pop which is obviously true and the reality. GATEKEEPING AT ITS FINEST. Seriously, what happened to the respect in our community? A critic should accept the criticism of fans. It was bound to happen. Now you're being edgy saying that fans don't deserve to speak. The scare tactics that the neoliberals and neoconservatives have been employing. Sure, your mad that your BIG 3, ESTABLISHMENT-PLANNED, INDUSTRY PLANTfailed to do the same impact Jackson 5, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, DMX, 2PAC, and other POC people DID.
Why are critics so egoistic? About having us being the ONLY people to "properly" speak about songs without also accepting criticisms. We, as critics, should be prone to critics and be responsible for what we voice out. We should not take it personally. We should not be bitter about people. Can this kind of behavior stop!!!
Being woke about stuff and then proceed about hating other underrepresented people is a whole joke!!! Just like On This Day In K-Pop. Of course, the anglo-centrism is the best, the neo-imperialism of Asian culture is better than the imperialism of the West, the complete erasure of where K-Pop, J-Pop, and C-Pop started (because apparently European writers are better than the OGs).
Conclusion
Our praxis should be all about critical analysis, personal opinion, lyricism, and the authenticity of the artist on a certain topic. It should be proactive. It should be critical of the establishment, of the society, of the purpose, and of the artistry of an artist. We should look ourselves in the mirror and take a closer look at what is happening in the world. As we immerse ourselves in the world of music. We should respect others. If you have nothing inspirational, impactful, or BASED to say, just shut the fuck up.
Also, hating the people, what is popular and the idea of collectivism is a CRINGE joke. Neoliberalism is rising and criticism is the genre that took a hit so largely. Please take a time to understand, everything is political and everything has a reason for existence. Think pieces like this are a tangent to the problem but still it needs to be said.
Please stop... I beg you. If you don't like an artist then don't, but please have a sense of responsibility for what you say if it is offensive. Supporting something so offensive is not freedom of speech it is merely suppression of freedom.
